The long awaited opening of the Santa Rosa County Park will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2009. Phase I of the development including road improvements, toilets, and an on-site caretaker facility are complete and the park is ready for use. Subsequent phases of development are planned to include camping facilities and equestrian improvements. These will be accomplished as funds are available.

Opening Day will include a BBQ from 12:00 noon til 3:00 p.m. The sponsors of the event are: Supervisor Linda Parks, Mark Burley, Don Shubert, Santa Rosa Valley Riders, Santa Rosa Trails, Inc., Rosemary Allison, and Ruth Means. Everyone in the Valley is invited to attend.
